Launching January 9th, the Camellia Crush Scarf is a heartfelt homage to the beauty of camellias and the cherished memories they hold. Inspired by my family's verdant garden, lovingly tended by my mom, this design captures the vibrancy and elegance of camellias—flowers that have graced our family for generations. From my great-grandfather’s care to my mom’s unwavering dedication, these blooms symbolize timeless beauty and connection. My love for camellias has only grown with visits to Charleston and New Orleans, two cities where these flowers thrive and radiate even in the heart of winter. Strolling along St. Charles Avenue and frequenting one of our favorite spots, The Camellia Grill, is a New Orleans tradition I cherish—one that feels like an extension of this scarf's story.

The Inspiration:
Growing up, I’d spend hours playing in the ‘secret garden’ where I can still hear my grandfather’s voice echo through the meandering paths telling me about each camellia variety. From the creamy whites to the pops of coral & bright pinks, I wanted to convey all of the many shades in this scarf.
The design began as a series of watercolor and gouache paintings, meticulously crafted to capture the essence of camellias in all their beauty These paintings were then scanned and transformed into a digitally vectorized motif, ensuring that every detail—from the soft, layered petals to the pastel green silhouette border—comes to life on silk. The pastel green border adds a youthful and modern twist, perfectly complementing the vibrant pinks and reds in the pattern. Whether styled as an elegant accessory or framed as art, this scarf seamlessly blends tradition and fresh design, perfect to gift to your loved ones this Valentine’s Day.
