My 6 (CURRENT) Favorite Coffee Table Books
My Current Favorite Coffee Table Books
Looking to update your living room without breaking the bank? These six coffee table books are not just pretty to look at, but they also feature beautifully photographed images and compelling stories that can inspire any reader.
1.) Love Affairs with Houses by Bunny Williams
Everything Bunny Williams touches turns into gold. In this book, she takes you through fifteen houses that she has decorated and loved. You feel like you are in on a secret that no-one else knows about when looking at these beautifully styled abodes. Not to mention, this book was originally $60 and is now on sale for $36! Get it before everyone else does!
2.) John Richardson : At Home
This recently published book encapsulates the wonderful life of John Richardson - which depicts his travels and studies throughout London, France, and the United States. It is filled with images of his mementoes, collections of artwork, and outstanding furnishings that tell amazing stories. Readers are invited into his magnificent homes that tell so much about this fascinating historian. If you are an art historian or collector, this is a great book to refer to.
3.) Interiors - The Greatest Rooms of the Century
Offered in four different velvet covers that will look impeccable in any setting, this book goes beyond designers and architects and dives deep into the style icons who have impacted and contributed to the world of interior design. This book spans from the beginning of the 12th Century to the present day featuring Italian Villas to ranch-style abodes. Picasso, Cy Twombly, and Georgia O’Keefe’s homes are all depicted in this book which were huge perks for me; however, this 400-paged book features the homes of so many noteworthy fashion designers that would be suitable for anyone.
4.) Inspired by Color by Clinton Smith
Although this book isn’t new to the bookshelves, I absolutely love the timeless interiors featured in this Veranda edition. More than a dozen homes are revisited from the renowned magazine that emphasize the usage and importance of color in interiors. Smith encapsulates over 200 beautiful pages of both bold and subdued rooms that utilize color in different ways. This book is wonderful for any interior designer or if you’re seeking a book that offers a nice pop of color to the coffee table. Not to mention, it is also on sale for $38 and is worth every penny. You can get it here at the discounted price.
5.) Color Me Floral: Stunning Monochromatic Arrangements for Every Season by Kiana Underwood
This book is absolutely beautiful, even if you are not a flower lover. If you are someone looking to learn how to arrange flowers, this book has over 40 beautiful arrangements organized by season with easy directions and how-tos for the novice gardeners and green thumbs. Whether you are a beginner or advance flower enthusiast, this book is both useful and beautiful.
6.) The Color Teil: Life, Work, and Inspiration by Teil Duncan
Teil has always been an artist that I strongly admire. My husband gave this book to me as a Christmas gift this past year, and I read every inch of it that day. Teil takes you through her upbringing, her struggles, and how she got to where she is today. She walks you through a colorful journey of how her worked has evolved, and she discusses how crucial her faith and family are to her. This is such a vibrant, beautifully written book that should be on every coffee table - especially if you are still waiting to purchase one of her paintings like me (this is probably my favorite book currently residing in my home as I find something new in it each time I open it)!
