4 Clever Ways to Style Art

How To Style & Arrange Artwork

In Unique Ways

One of the more common questions that I am asked is, “Where should I hang my artwork?” Yes, you can hang your artwork above the couch, bed, and fireplace; however, here are a few places in the home that are often overlooked.

1.)   Mantels:

Layering multiple pieces of artwork and accessories above a mantel can give off such a homey feel. Prop your artwork against the wall for a more casual feel & appearance.

2.)   Shelves:

Connect your bookshelves to the rest of your space by adding artwork directly onto the paneling. Shelves are an incredible way to express your style, and putting a piece of artwork will really be a wow factor to any room.

We’ve listed our favorite easels to really accentuate your ‘shelfies’ - you can check out our go-to ways to style your artwork here.

3.)   Bathrooms:

Bathrooms are often disregarded as a space to hang art; however, we all visit this room every day! Be conscious of the moisture and humidity in your bathroom, however. Artwork, especially under glass, can be damaged when not framed properly.

4.)   Above Doorways:

Along with the bathroom, doorways are often discounted as a perfect place for art. Hanging art, sculptures, or plates over the door visually lengthens the height of your entrance, giving your room the illusion of higher ceilings.
