Winter ONEderland : Baby's 1st Birthday Themed Party
I can’t believe our baby girl is one! It was the longest yet shortest year of my life, & I wanted to celebrate not only her first year, but also the fact that my husband and I made it through our first year of parenting - in one piece! The weather in Austin, TX, can be extremely bipolar this time of year. Sometimes we face below-freezing during January, and other times it feels like summer is just around the corner. I risked my luck and opted for a Winter ‘ONE’derland themed party, which ended up being such a fun theme for a one-year-old, no matter the weather turnout! I ended up being terrible at taking photos and documenting the party, but Below are all of the party supplies we bought that made it so easy & fun to prep!
Birthday Details:
I knew with the holidays being so close, I needed to fine-tune some of these details far in advance, and I’m so glad I did because I was able to really sit back and enjoy her birthday and all of the fun!
Invitations & Gift Tags: I created these custom invitations, which aligned so well with the decor. You can purchase customized gift tags or email me for more info!
Cupcake Toppers: Honestly, I opted for inexpensive cupcakes - babies are a mess, and most adults seem to be watching their calories in January, so I ordered cupcakes at our nearby grocery and decorated them myself with these adorable cupcake toppers & edible pearls.
Party Favors: Another cheap fix! I purchased $1 stuffed animals at the Dollar Store and tied these cute bubbles around them - super inexpensive, thoughtful gift for your baby’s friends!
1st Birthday Banner: This is a bit unnecessary, but I thought it was too cute to pass up. This banner is perfect to add to the highchair or inside for a fun photo opp!
Plates, Cups, & Bowls: I made a big pot of chili for our friends while the kiddos played, and these plates, bowls, and cups were perfect for the food and bar (also, these are all reusable for future parties — a win-win!).
Balloons: These fun balloons were honestly so much cheaper than any other option I could find out there, and fairly pretty simple to put together (pro tip: upholster the night before with a glass of wine for an effortless birthday celebration!)
Play pit & balls: I decided at the last minute to purchase this fun tunnel and ball pit for her birthday present after reading the reviews. We have a large backyard and thought it would be something fun for her friends to do during the party, plus something that would age well as she gets older! It was a complete hit for the 1-year-olds all the way up to my 6-year-old niece and nephew!
