My 2020 Reading List

My 2020 Reading List

While I love to read fiction books (which I have a whole separate list for), this is my list of reads for 2020 that I am going to strive to read to better myself and my business. At the end of the year, I’ll review which books I read and my key takeaways. If you’ve read any of them, I’d love to know your thoughts and remarks! This is a conglomeration of books that have been referred to me by other fellow artists or reads that have had great reviews.

1.) Free to Focus: A Total Productivity System to Achieve More by Doing Less by Michael Hyatt

2.) ART/WORK- Revised & Updated: Everything You Need to Know (and Do) As You Pursue Your Art Career by Heather Darcy Bhandari + Jonathan Melber (recommended by artist, Allison James)

3.) Art, Inc.: The Essential Guide for Building Your Career as an Artist (Art Books, Gifts for Artists, Learn The Artist's Way of Thinking) by Lisa Congdon

4.) 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

5.) Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki & Sharon Lechter

6.) The 4-hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss

7.) The Perfect Day Formula by Craig Ballantyne

8.) Principles by Ray Dalio

9.) Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist

10.) The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery by Ian Morgan Cron & Suzanne Stabile

11.) Hug Your Customers: The Proven Way to Personalize Sales and Achieve Astounding Results by Jack Mitchell

12.) Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg

*Bonus book: The Maker’s Yearbook - a comprehensive planner and guide book to help creatives plan out their year and each month.

I would LOVE to hear what books you have read in the past or plan to read this year to better yourself and/or your business! This list obviously may change dependent on a recommendation that ‘I just have to read,’ but for now, I am so excited to get to reading, to learning, and to growing!

Until next time,
