5 Apps My Business Can't Live Without

5 Apps My Business Can't Live Without

Navigating the continuous world of technology and keeping up with the latest and greatest can be exhausting, frustrating, and daunting. I’ve put together a list of my top 5 apps that have saved me time and have helped me build a more cohesive brand across all of my social media platforms! Enjoy!

1.)   Toggl:

Toggl has SAVED me in so many ways. Time management is one of the biggest reasons why so many businesses fail, and for me, I need to be spending the majority of my time painting and not doing unnecessary tasks. This app (may I add, it’s FREE!), makes tracking time so simple. It also helped me realize how much time I was really spending on certain projects and helped me understand the value of raising my prices.

2.)   Canva:

Canva is a free app that has thousands of templates for you to easily drag-and-drop professional layouts that will help reflect a cohesive brand. You can design everything from social media graphics to a restaurant menu. If you have time, listen to how the founder, Melanie Perkins, successfully transformed the graphic design and publishing industries. This app is perfect for anyone and everyone.

3.)   Plann:

There are a number of apps that will help you plan out your social media posts in advance; however, I have found that Plann’s easy drag-and-drop feature is one of the simpler ones out there. There are several pricing options depending on what services you require – but is worth every cent! They have great analytics that truly help you understand when to post and the best hashtags to use.

4.)   Continual:

If you’re constantly posting on Instagram Stories, then Continual is the app for you! Essentially, you no longer have to constrain your videos to 15 seconds as it will splice your longer videos up with no awkward pause between videos. Not to mention, this will help your audience stay engaged longer with a more seamless flow.

5.) Afterlight:

Having a cohesive grid is crucial for building a consistent looking brand, and it can be difficult to achieve the same look with iPhone photos as professional photos. Afterlight is an awesome tool to brighten and sharpen your iPhone pictures for the times you don’t have a nice camera laying around.

I hope this helps you with your business endeavors or upping your social media game! All of these apps have helped me save a significant amount of time allowing me to invest more energy in creating more artwork. If you use any apps that have impacted you, we’d love to hear about them in the comment section!
